When you mention the Weisshorn, more often than not, people draw a blank. They’ve heard of Mt Blanc, Matterhorn and Eiger. But the Weisshorn, no. This may be due to the fact that it’s not the biggest, it’s not on crayon boxes and it doesn’t have a terrifying north face. Yet if you are climbing in the area, on the Dom, Taschhorn, Zinal Rothorn, Rimfischorn, it is this mountain, with its Himalayan faces, sharp summit and long ridges, that draws your eye and is utterly captivating.
