As an experience, climbing Mt Toubkal is exceptional – flying into Marrakech, hiking in the heart of Morocco, spending two nights in mountain huts and watching the sun rise over the Atlas mountains.
As a climb, Mt Toubkal is deceptive. On paper, it should be straight forward but it is still the highest point (4,167m) in North Africa.

Anyone who has climbed in the Alps will know that reaching 4000m is always a challenge and should never be under-estimated. The route is not technical but the days are long and the going tough. You will need to pack a good amount of stamina and bloody-mindedness.
The trip includes early starts, two 1000m days and relentless uphill (as one might expect on a big mountain).
