Peter Baily – Founder/Belief Builder
Peter is the co-founder of because it’s there. His career started in advertising and marketing with 8 years at Ogilvy and Mather and later became Marketing Director of two companies - an internet retailer and chain of London-based healthy food outlets.
In parallel to his working career, he managed to achieve some exceptional outdoor accomplishment.
Between 1990 and 1999, he ran in six marathons, completed four 100km endurance walks, climbed McKinley in Alaska and Cho Oyu (an 8000m peak) in the Himalayas, rock climbed the Nose and Half Dome in Yosemite, California and summited on 10 of the classic 4000m peaks in the Alps. He is passionate about learning and development through challenges.

Hugh Moss – Founder/Attitude Adjuster
Hugh, the other co-founder, is an accredited coach with a Diploma in Advanced Executive Coaching from The Academy of Executive Coaching, one of only two organisations in the UK whose training is accredited by the International Coaching Federation. One of his greatest talents lies in the attitude encapsulated in two simple words “can do”.
He has been involved personally and professionally in learning, development and the outdoors for 27 years. He has also worked comprehensively in catering and all facets of media - variously editor, event organiser, business director and general manager. He co-founded Asia’s leading outdoor magazine, Action Asia and worked for ESPN STAR Sports in marketing, event management and business development introducing the X Games to Asia and established the network's multimedia business. On return to the UK in 2003 he lead the digital media practice for Enterprise IG and consulted in international business development in China.
He has turned his experience to helping others learn through coaching. He believes in the unique potential of all human beings and is passionate about energy management as the fuel of whole person development. He is an accomplished rock climber and mountaineer with ascents throughout the world from 6000m peaks in the Indian Himalaya to the limestone walls of Southern Thailand. Mark Roberts - Training Director/Conditioning Coach
Mark is an exceptional athlete and was a nationally ranked decathlete and county rugby player. He has been in the health and fitness industry for over 15 years and is the director of the Personal Space an exclusive gym, personal training and therapy centre based in the heart of London’s Mayfair. He has been a regular fitness expert for Sky television, made numerous television appearances and was speed, strength and conditioning coach for Harlequins RFU 2005-2007.
Mark recently came full circle with a client training programme journeying with the client to summit the Matterhorn. His passion is health and fitness and his in-depth knowledge, versatility and presence make every session inspiring, challenging and personal. He is happy when his clients are sweating and happier when they are really engaged and learning. |

Yannick Flugi – Alps Director/Mountain Motivator
Skiing since 3, climbing since 6, Yannick is an exceptional mountaineer and has become a member of the world’s most recognised mountaineering bodies, the Suisse Alpine Association.
To become a Suisse Guide is not easy. It requires complete dedication and commitment, clarity of thinking and extraordinary skills.
Yannick is one of a select group who have climbed the toughest Alpine routes – North Face of Grandes Jorasses, Aiguille Noire de Peuterey, Les Courtes, Les Droites to name a few.
Over and above guiding clients safely in the mountains Yannick is passionate about helping them to learn through the experience. He he has a great sense of humour, albeit it occassionally, well, Swiss!
